Planet Groove:
This compilation CD Box Set was released on 23 October, 2000 in the UK. Fans of the BBC's 'All Back To Mine' television show will already be familiar
with the montage of music that is Huey's choice of play. In which case you'll already have bought this compilation, happy in the knowledge that you'll be listening to some hot and schmoove tunes.
For those of you not so familiar, allow me to explain further. This compilation of 70s and 80s sounds was put together by the FLC frontman, Huey and is
nothing short of taking a trip in a time machine and strutting down the streets of New York in the height of disco fever. Even if you aren't old enough to remember this first time round or you
weren't in New York during this era - you'll soon feel like you were. An eclectic gathering of disco, soul, rock, and even some rap and latino, comes served on a silver platter.
Whilst its huge shame that some of the tracks originally lined up by Huey haven't made the final CD set (such as Donna Summer - Love to Love You), be in no doubt that from start (Barry White's
Love Unlimited Orchestra - Love's Theme) to finish (ZZ Top - Cheap Sunglasses), it's all great stuff. To quote from the inner sleeve,
"this recording will bring you joy and solace for years to come". 2000 Beechwood Music Limited (PLANETCD01)CD Listing:
