Gig review: Glastonbury 1999

Sunday evening at Glastonbury... most people are starting to flag after three full days of sun, music and festivities. Fun Lovin Criminals are playing their set just before the main act on the Pyramid stage. I know it's gotta be worth getting down there and watching.

I'm already a little bit peeved as the guys were in the Select signing tent earlier in the day but the queue (even an hour before they were scheduled) was astronomical and I didn't fancy spending 2 hours in a queue! So I'm having to settle for just watching them do their stuff on stage. Found a decent enough spot up front to watch them (just to the right of the stage) but had to contend with a huge camera being in the way most of the time

Afraid I can't really tell you what the playlets was. It wasn't as long as a normal set but they fit in all the favourites, including Huey's acting school. Huey with his usual charm, wooed the audience with his smooth talk. It was just a shame the sound system didn't seem to be set up quite right. I smiled alot whilst I was watching/listening to their set and I also smiled alot again when I later watched it on TV and that's all that counts.
